Original brown half-leather binding with colored inlays, gold-embossed spine label, leather corners, cover fillets, and gilt head edges. One of 90 numbered copies with the etchings in their final state, along with the annotations. Salome is considered one of Oscar Wilde's most important plays. The play caused a scandal, especially in England. It was censored and, as an adaptation of biblical material, even banned in some cases.
