Small folio 30 x 20 cm. 375 pages. Original red half-leather bindings with spine title, rich gilt, leather corners, and gilt edges. - Printed by the Vale Press in 300 copies on laid paper. The press was founded in 1894 by the English artist Charles Ricketts. Vale Press editions are rich in decorative book decorations and floral ornaments. Ricketts' artistic achievements were inspired by Marcus Behmer, among others. A flawless copy. - Tomkinson 170/30.
