4th edition. 173 pages. With an etched frontispiece and 10 full-page signed etchings. Black-green original ecrasé leather binding with spine title and gilt, black leather inlay in a gilt cover vignette, and gilt head edges. - One of 145 numbered copies of the deluxe edition with the original etchings signed by the artist with annotations. This edition was hand-bound in full leather. Auguste Hauschner came from Prague and, after the death of her husband, opened her Berlin apartment to one of the famous literary salons of the turn of the century. "The Death of the Lion" was published in 1914, but was illustrated here for the first time. Immaculately preserved. - Sennewald 22.3.
