Cooper's magnificent Leatherstocking Tales with 312 original lithographs by Max Slevogt. The scenes come to life through his brilliant powers of empathy and improvisation. Slevogt's Cooper was a great commercial success, and the artist's position as the leading book illustrator of Impressionism remained undisputed from then on. 1st printing by Pan-Press.
