This work provides a detailed technical overview of the manufacturing and decoration methods. Milly describes the previously well-kept secrets of porcelain production in the Ludwigsburg and Dresden manufactories. The work shows, in copperplate engravings, the equipment and work typical of a porcelain factory in the 18th century. A beautiful, wide-margined, untrimmed copy in an original leather binding from the 18th century.
