One of only 50 Roman-numbered copies. Only these copies were handwritten by Melchior Lechter with the serial number, monogrammed, and marked "private." With a full-page written dedication from Melchior Lechter to Dr. Franz Servaes, "Dedicated to the Holy Resurrection Festival 1928," and a handwritten poem by Rainer Maria Rilke. Executed in blue and turquoise ink with decorative elements in gold leaf. Bound in turquoise morocco leather with rich ornamental gilding on the covers and spine. This not-for-sale special edition was produced exclusively for Melchior Lechter. Printed throughout in black, green, and blue on heavy, hand-made old laid paper. Each page is surrounded by a wide border with ornamental scrollwork. Enclosed is the often missing page of the translation of the Latin and Greek Sanskrit inscriptions.
