22.4 x 13.6 cm. 106 pages. Violet, embossed original morocco binding with a large gold vignette on both covers, stamped, and small blind-stamped lines, marbled endpapers, and full gilt edges. In original slipcase. (Monogrammed: EvG d.i: Else von Guaita). - Magnificent binding by Else von Guaita. She was a student of Otto Dorfner and worked closely with Henry van de Velde in Weimar for many years. Provenance copy from the collection of Marie-Luise Schlegel-Binswanger (1871-1944), who, together with her husband, supported artists in the circle of Ernst Ludwig Kirchner and Mary Wigman. Edges and corners slightly rubbed, otherwise in perfect condition. - Sarkowski 979A.
