Original half-leather binding in original half-leather case. - The most beautifully illustrated edition of the 20th century of Kleist's tragedy, featuring the extraordinarily powerful original etchings by Oskar Kokoschka. One of 100 copies with the separately enclosed, Arabic-numbered full-page originals on handmade Auvergne laid paper from the Richard de Bas paper mill. The etchings were printed on the copperplate printing press of the Folkwang-Offizin in Essen under the supervision of the artist. All etchings and the imprint are signed by Oskar Kokoschka.
