This is one of a few of the special edition in red morocco. The texts were compiled by Ferdinand Schmetz. Hölderlin's verses are reproduced from the Great Stuttgart Edition edited by Friedrich Beißner. The account follows the lecture "Hölderlin's Madness" by Norbert von Hellingrath, who first brought it to light in 1915. The binding was done by Helmuth Halbach, Königstein.
