44 x 33.5 cm. 1,312 pages. Capital initials printed in gold and color, the initials in red and blue. Brown original leather bindings on seven ribs with rich blind embossing on the spine and covers. One of 300 numbered copies on van Gelder laid paper. This Bible edition is Johannes Gutenberg's most significant achievement and the first book printed with movable type. The reproduction was taken directly from the original and was produced by the Albert Frisch Court Art Institute in Berlin based on the parchment copy in the Royal Library of Berlin. The binding was based on the Fulda copy, the most beautiful contemporary binding. This print, unsurpassed to this day and will continue to be unsurpassed, does justice to all aesthetic standards.
