26 x 20.5 cm. 215 pages. Hand-gilded original cloth binding with Secession elements and stamped gilt. Enclosed in a slipcase. (Binding: Wiener Werkstätte). - Binding design, endpapers, and frame after drawings by Josef Hoffmann. The type used for printing was cut according to designs by Viktor Mader. Viktor von Hofmann von Wellenhof proofread the text. This is undoubtedly the most beautiful edition of Grillparzer's "The Poor Minstrel" that has come down to us. The work was bound in the Wiener Werkstätte according to a design by Josef Hoffmann. Secession elements and a specially developed stamped embossing seamlessly cover the spine and cover. The binding appears as a perfect work of art with a shimmering gold sheen. One of 450 numbered copies.
