Title and press mark in red. In 24 stanzas, Goethe describes in the first person how the protagonist, after a long absence from home, is delayed on his return journey by a carriage break-down. In the inn where he has found lodging, he meets a maid who is willing to spend a night of love with him. One of the great rarities of the Officina Serpentis. Immaculately preserved. Backe/Köppen 142.
