First edition of this significantly expanded collection of poems, and also the final edition. Triple the size of the first edition published anonymously in Münster in 1838. Most of the poems were written after her move to Meersburg in 1841-1842, where she initially lived in the "Droste Tower" of the castle belonging to her sister Jenny and her brother-in-law, Baron Laßberg, the great medieval scholar. With the proceeds from her poems, she acquired the "Fürstenhäusle" (Prince's House), situated in a vineyard above Meersburg, in 1844. Levin Schücking, 17 years her junior, helped compile the collection. Her friendship with Schücking inspired the poet, and her breakthrough into poetry followed.
