One of 50 Roman-numbered copies of the deluxe edition on Japan laid paper. Beautiful, deep black, burled prints under original mounts. Corinth's etchings "Ancient Legends" are among his finest works. The titles of the individual sheets are: I: Odysseus and the Suitors. II: Apollo and the Rose-Fingered Eos. III: The Youth of Zeus. IV: The Singing Orpheus. V: Daphnis and Cloe. VI: The Feast of Bacchus. VII: The Education of Achilles. VIII: The Rape of Helen. IX: The Judgment of Paris. X: The Forge of Vulcan. XI: The Mirror of Venus. XII: Perseus and Andromeda (After Rubens). The plates were destroyed after the printing of the edition. All prints bear the blind stamp of the Marée Society. 20th printing of the Marées Society.
