Illustrated original linen portfolio with cover title and gold print. - Copy of the rare first edition. Important publication that marks the beginning of modern book art in Vienna at the turn of the century. One of the earliest book art works of the Jugendstil movement. The aesthetic position of this early publication by Heinrich Lefler was already recognized and positively evaluated by contemporaries. This portfolio, certainly expensive at the time, can only have reached a limited circle of enthusiasts.
