28.7 x 22.5 cm. 7 pages with a hand-painted blue initial. With a mounted photograph as the title page. Bright red original ecrasé leather binding with sweeping capital letters as the cover illustration, bronzed marbled paper endpapers, and gilt edges. In a lined original slipcase. (Signed: Otto Dorfner-Weimar). - Stunningly beautiful hand-bound by Otto Dorfner. The Sun or Aten Hymn was composed during the reign of Akhenaten around 1345 BC. The transcription was by Georg Röder, the renowned Egyptologist and museum director. Printed in 120 numbered copies on Zanders laid paper. Immaculately preserved.
