Nietzsche, Friedrich

Collected Works. 23 volumes.

Munich, Musarion Verlag 1922-1929

24.5 x 17.5 cm. Approx. 7,500 pages. Original parchment bindings with spine labels, double wraparound covers, and gilt edges.

One of 185 numbered copies of the deluxe edition, bound on rag paper and in full parchment. The binding was made by Hübel and Denck, Leipzig, based on a design by Ottomar Starke. This is the most beautiful and important complete edition of the great philosopher. Friedrich Nietzsche fell into mental derangement at the turn of the year 1888/89 without having brought his works into a recognizable canonical form. The complete works edition was edited by Elisabeth Förster-Nietzsche. A beautiful copy of this rare deluxe edition.
